New version of iJoomla SideBars 1.0.8
|
|
Monday, 07 April 2008 |
|
We've just released a new version of iJoomla SideBars, version 1.0.8. This version works only on Joomla 1.0.X.
iJoomla SideBars is already one of the coolest extensions for Joomla, letting publishers add as many SideBars as they want to their articles. Those SideBars can hold almost anything: videos, Google ads, related articles, article teasers, modules and much, much more.
And SideBars can now do even more too:
- Automatic SideBars - Assign a SideBar to a category and it will show automatically on all that category's articles! It's a very easy way to add the same SideBar to many articles. Try it with Google ads!
- SideBar categories - Create categories for SideBars for better organization.
- Copy styles - Copy a style to save time when giving your SideBars a uniform look.
- Round corners - Give your SideBars curved corners. Just upgrade and install the nifty corners mambot to give your SideBars the sophisticated look so many users have been asking for.
If you haven't purchased iJoomla SideBars yet, you now have more reasons than ever!

Our friends at Alledia.com have decided to use iJoomla News Portal to display content on their home page. It looks great! Steve Burg, founder of Alledia.com says "We used iJoomla.com's News Portal and it really is a pretty slick application... If your main landing page is your homepage, why don't you make things as easy to as possible for them. In fact, give them the meat. Turn your homepage into your application ...If you are a content site, give them the most popular and recent content."

Want a free Joomla extension?
Our friends at JoomlaProdigy.com are giving one of their extensions away free for everyone who purchases an iJoomla extension! Just pick up one of our extensions within the next two days, and you'll get jp FirstRate (which usually sells for $19.95) for absolutely nothing.
FirstRate is a mambot that enables content item rating without page refresh. Users receive a "thank you" message immediately after voting and the new rating shows up on the page right away. For users, it couldn't be easier.
jp FirstRate features
- Mouseover effects show the user how many stars they're about to give an item before they click.
- Rating average rounds to half-stars, not whole stars.
- Ratings will show in blog category, blog section and com_frontpage pages too.
- Users can only vote once. Multiple voters get poked with a spoon. They also get a message saying "You've already voted."
You can see a demo of jp FirstRate here, and while you're at it, check out all the other JoomlaProdigy extensions. They're very cool!
How does it work?
- To get your free copy of jp FirstRate, simply buy any iJoomla extension or any of our packages before midnight on Friday!
- After you've paid, you will be taken to a "license page" where you will see a license for jp FirstRate.
- Install the zip file as a mambot (Installer->mambot) and publish the mambot.
- Unpublish the mambot called "MOS Rating."
- To make sure you have the rating enabled, go to Site->global configuration and choose YES next to "Item Rating/Voting" on the "content" tab.
- That's all there is to it.
