Can you make a system similar to the Magazine Menu module but for the main menu system so that when you create a tab to the Magazine you want, it will automatically list that magazine's issues as sub-menu items?

I know we can have article images. Can you create a system for adding a cover image. Then this can be added in the template, but also then update the magazine menu module so it can display images instead of text links. That would give a really smart way of displaying back issues.
