You can add as many quotes as you wish on each page. We recommend one to two quotes for short articles and more for longer articles. Select iJoomla Magazine -> Manage Content -> Articles from the menu.

Under the column marked "Article Title", find and open the content item you'd like to edit.

Choose the text you'd like to quote and enter a quotes tag in the beginning and a closing quotes tag at the end.

Save the page, check the result and tweak as needed.

To create the quote, add the quote tags around the text:


This will display the quotes in an approximate location to the source text.

Note: Quotes work only in full text--don't add them to your intro text!

 

Quote options

Quotes align to the left by default but If you'd like to align the quote box to the right, add align=right to the opening tag: {quotes align=right}. The closing tag should remain the same.

HTML mode displays the intro text using HTML tags such as bullet points, bold, etc. Choose this option if you want the home page intro text to be the same as the article page intro.

Text mode strips out the HTML to show only the copy without any HTML tags. Use this option if you want to keep your home page clean and organized.

Layouts give you much more flexibility as you organize your home pages. You receive 12 layouts from us and can assign any of these layouts to your issues.

No! iJoomla magazine allows you to use your existing content. You won't need to re-enter any content.
When you add articles to your magazine, you will be asked to choose the article from your existing list of content items.

The main image is the picture displayed on the issue home page. Each issue has its own main image, which is also a good place to feature the most important article in the issue. Use an attractive picture and put the name of the article on the image itself with the phrase "read more >>". Your visitors will click on the picture to read the main article.
To place a main image,

Components-> Magazine
On the left menu select Manage Content-> Issues

Open the issue. On the General tab choose the main article to which your main image will link.

Finally, on the Image tab, choose the image you wish to use.

Vertical items are displayed vertically with the image first, followed by the title and then the intro text.

Horizontal items are displayed horizontally with the image on the left, and the title and text on the right.

The first thing you'll need to do is buy, download and install the iJoomla Magazine component, modules and plug-in.

In order to start building your magazine, you will need the following:
Intermediate Joomla knowledge including installation of components/modules and creating and publishing items etc. If you're just starting with Joomla, this may not be a good place to begin. Come back soon, when you're more comfortable with the Joomla software.

Basic image handling. To create a magazine with images you will need a graphics program and know how to resize/crop images. If you don't have this knowledge or the necessary software, ask us about our magazine creation services.

You don't need to understand CSS but it helps We provide you with  different style sheets that you can either use as is or modify. You will need basic CSS knowledge to modify the CSS code.

First, you will need a Joomla site, and permission to install components. If you're not sure you have that permission, ask your hosting service. You will also need intermediate knowledge of Joomla and at least a few content items. iJoomla Magazine can use your existing content to create your magazine.
