Coming soon! iJoomla RSS Feeder and iJoomla Search & Archive!
We're working on two new exciting new products:
iJoomla RSS Feeder -
iJoomla RSS Feeder gives you an easy and flexible way to tap the power
of RSS to distribute your content, get exposure, and improve your
search engine rank by generating more incoming links. You can even ping
the major RSS directories automatically or on the fly to get even more
exposure!
iJoomla Search & Archive - This is really two major products in one! The Search feature will
give your site powerful and sophisticated search capabilities, with
advanced display of search results. The search results page will let
you display thumbnails of images from articles, word counts, and even
color-code the different keywords that were entered in the search!
(just like searching the Google cache).
The Archive feature was created due to popular demand. The Archive
part will allow you to display an archive page that indexes the content
on your site. You can choose to arrange you archive any way you want,
using sections/categories, authors, weeks, days, months or years. This
is what a lot of our customers have been waiting for. Add powerful
search and an archive of your site - and get both in one great product.
We hope to release these two new products in July, 2007 - or before that if we possibly can.
Important Information about the new JoomSEF upgrade and iJoomla News Portal
If you are using both iJoomla News Portal and the Artio JoomSEF
component, please don't upgrade to the latest version of JoomSEF. It
turns out that the latest version of JoomSEF has some compatibility
issues with iJoomla News Portal as well with other extensions. The
latest version of JoomSEF that we support is 1.4.0, so stick with this
one until we make the necessary changes to iJoomla News Portal that
will allow them to play nicely together. If you've already upgraded and
you're having a problem, don't downgrade, it won't help because the new
SEF links have already been created. Instead you should unpublish the
news portal menu module of to get your site up and running again. As
soon as we have a solution we will let you know.
Change logs now available for iJoomla Products
Yes, we've finally created a change log for each of our components. Now
you can stay informed about all the changes we make to each of our
products. You can access these change logs on the left navigation menu
of each component. We will do our best to update these change logs in
real time!
Our very first Joomla hack! A better password recovery option!
We have released our very first Joomla hack! Some things about Joomla
could use improving and we're contributing our solution to the Joomla
community. This modification to Joomla effects the way the "forgot
password" feature works. Currently, if a user forgets their password
for a site Joomla requires the user to enter both their username and email in
order to retrieve the password. With our modification to Joomla, users
will only be asked to enter the email address they used when they
created their account, and their password will be sent to them at that
email address.
We know that some people have a hard time remembering both their
username and email, because many people have dozens of different logins
for all the various sites they use. We also think it's fairly safe to
only ask for their email address because the password can only be sent
to that user's that email address. If you don't think this method is as
safe as the normal way Joomla works, please don't use this hack.

Note: Make sure you backup the original files, please read the README.txt file carefully!!! We don't provide any support to this hack and we don't make any guarantees or warranties,
but we wanted to make it available because we've been asked about this
by a lot of our customers. It works great on our own site so we're
happy to share it with you. Enjoy!
We developed this modification for Joomla version 1.1.12, we haven't tried it with any other versions.
