Fed up with Fox News? Sick of CNN? iJoomla.com has the solution. Create your own news portal and report on the world the way you think it should be done. The iJoomla News Portal lets publishers present their content in a news format, complete with automatic content flows, "most popular page" lists and complete style control. Within minutes, anyone can now own their own news site.

"There's been a lot of talk about citizen journalism and Web 2.0," says Merav Knafo, founder of iJoomla.com and the designer of iJoomla's news component. "But while anyone can report a story, small publishers just haven't been able to compete with the resources available to the owners of the major news sites... until now."
With iJoomla's news portal, publishers can use their existing content or create additional items to display as news. It's the organization of that content though that makes all the difference. Each new post is highlighted as a "Top Story" then moves automatically through the "Leading Stories" category before appearing to readers as "More News."
The resulting is an automated, dynamic website with the feel of constant breaking news and a steady flow of new articles for users to enjoy.
And the backend is simple to use too, letting publishers add articles in a flash, play with CSS settings and re-design the look of each of the portal's zones.
"We're not really expecting Joomla publishers to go out and give Ted Turner a run for his money," says Knafo. "But they can at least make him sweat.
