I wanted to write to you about a recent development regarding the
interpretation of the GPL license that Joomla uses. Ever since Joomla
was first started Joomla.org (and its parent organization OSM)
encouraged commercial developers such as iJoomla to create products for
Joomla. Now they claim that commercial products may violate the GPL
license.
You might have heard something about this, and there is a lot of speculation going around about what it all means. I think it's important that Joomla users become aware of this issue, and I encourage you to participate in the discussion.

Many of you have asked us if this dispute is going to change the way we do business. The answer is that we certainly hope it won't. What we want is to continue to provide you with great extensions and great support at an affordable price. I think it comes down to what YOU as a user want and need. Do you want to keep having the freedom to buy commercial extensions? If you do, then you should share that opinion with Joomla.org/OSM.

In order to provide a great solution for adding RSS capabilities to your site we've decided to do a full integration with FeedBurner, an industry leader that was recently acquired by Google. iJoomla RSS Feeder will allow you to enjoy all the benefits of FeedBurner such as feed stats, feed promotion and more! This proved to be a challenge but we're almost ready to release this exciting and cutting-edge extension. Watch for it soon!
iJoomla Search & Archive - This is two great extensions in one! Add both a sophisticated and completely customizable archive page, and an advanced search engine that will take your site to a new level of professionalism. Coming up soon!
As with our existing products we will be releasing these great new extensions under a commercial non-GPL license.
