What's a scroller?

A scroller is a very cool way to present your latest content on your Joomla site. The text looks like breaking news coming straight from an old-fashioned telex machine. Our scroller is a perfect addition to a site using the iJoomla News Portal or iJoomla Magazine extensions but anyone with a Joomla site can enjoy it.

This one works. Really! When we were looking for a scroller to recommend to our iJoomla News Portal customers, we tried everything that was out there... and none of them met our standards. Even the scrollers that did work didn't have enough features to make them really useful tools. So we made our own.

So what does your scroller do?

• iJoomla Scroller is the first multi-line typing style Joomla scroller. That means the text can run vertically as well as horizontally, and you can put it any module position!
• You can also control the look and feel of your scroller easily, and without any CSS knowledge;
• And you can select the categories to include in the scroller, the scroller size, font, text color, font size, border, border size, border style, speed, delay, whether to link the title to the article... and the number of toppings. (Just kidding about the toppings).

Ok, so how much does it cost?

Nothing! This component (as well as others) are just our way of giving back to the Joomla community. You get it for free and you can use it on as many sites as you want. You can't distribute it though, it's not under GPL license!

Where do i get it?

You can download it here. You'll need to register on our site to be able to access our download area.

How do I install it?

Just install the file as it is, without unzipping. Once you install the component, a module will be installed automatically. Find this module on your module list, publish it and choose its module position.

Installation & Configuration:

• Download the file here and save it on your computer.
• Login to your Joomla admin and go to Installers->Components.
• Browse to find the file and click "upload file."
• Publishing the Module:
  Select Modules->site, enter iJoomla Scroller in the filter box and open the module.
• You can give your scroller any title such as "Breaking News!" or "Latest Articles."
• Choose a module position, publish and save.
• Configuring Your Scroller
  • Once you've published your scroller, you can start making it pretty.
  • Simply select Components-> iJoomla Scroller and choose the font, colors, sizes, etc.
  • Test on the front end and adjust accordingly
