Point your visitors towards new articles on your site by adding Latest Article SideBars that contain the title and intro text of your newest content items. You can choose the categories you want to use for getting the articles from, the number of items to show in the SideBar, and whether to display the title, the intro text, or both... and much more.

Adding a Latest Articles SideBar to your article:
First, select Components->iJoomla SideBars.
Click New on the SideBars Manager, and enter the SideBar name. You can also enter a heading to show on the SideBar if you wish.
Choose a style and select Latest Articles as the "type" of SideBar.
Category: Choose the categories from which you wish to grab the articles. To select more than one category, hold the CTRL key while you make your choice.
No. of items: Choose the number of items to display. If you choose to show only titles, we recommend that you select between five and ten articles. If you choose to display both title and intro text, then three to five articles is best. Choose more than five articles and the SideBar will dominate the article page.
Show: Choose to show titles, intro text or both.
Max. amount of characters: Define the number of characters to grab from the intro text.
Show horizontal rule between articles: You can place a horizontal rule between articles, and edit the appearance of the rule on your CSS file.
Show images: Decide whether to show or hide images in the intro text.
Linked titles: You can either make your titles links to the articles or restrict users to the Read More link at the bottom of the intro text.
Show Read More: If you've linked your titles, you might want to remove the Read More link.
When you've finished creating the settings for your SideBar, press Save.
The SideBar's tag will now be displayed on the SideBar Manager. Place the tag inside the article to display the Latest Articles inside your articles.
