How do I add sidebars to my articles?Once you create the sidebar, you will see a tag next to the sidebar name. Copy the tag and place it anywhere on your article content. The tag will be replaced by the sidebar. |
Can I add sidebars automatically to articles?Yes, you can show a sidebar automatically on articles in any category you choose. You can even place them in more than one category. For example, to show a Google AdSense sidebar on all your news content, simple choose your news category. The AdSense sidebar will be displayed on all the articles in the category automatically. You can also choose to show the sidebar in the intro text or in the full text. |
Can I add more than one sidebar to an article?Yes, you can add as many sidebars as you want to your articles, and place them in any position you choose. Simply place the tag where you'd like the sidebar to appear. |
Can I choose the alignment of the sidebar?Yes, the sidebar will align to the right by default, but you can have it align to the left by adding "align=left" to the tag. For example [sidebar id=x align=left] (replace the "[" with "{" ) |
What happens if I make changes to the sidebar, for example, by choosing a different style?The sidebar will automatically change on the article to reflect your new design. |
Can I create a sidebar containing content or images of my choice?Yes. Using a "Custom Sidebar," you can enter anything you want in the HTML editor, including images, text, links, promotions, etc. |
Can I create sidebars with round corners?Yes, easily. You just need to install the nifty Box mambot. You can download it here. After installation, you will be able to choose "round corners" in the style properties. |
Can I add iJoomla Ad Agency zones to sidebars?Yes! Each Ad Agency zone is also a kind of module and has a module position assigned to it. To add a zone to a sidebar, just choose "Module" as the sidebar type, and select the zone's module position. |
I already use iJoomla Magazine's SideBar feature. Is this the same as iJoomla SideBars?No, iJoomla SideBars was designed as a stand-alone component has some enhancements and features not found in the SideBars used by iJoomla Magazine. iJoomla SideBar added capabilities include: Advanced style control system that lets you design your SideBars without needing to deal with CSS stylesheets Greater control over where on your site you can use SideBars. Joomla SideBars are not tied to particular articles. The ability to place SideBars anywhere on the page, to add more than one SideBar to the same page, and to use the same SideBar on many different pages. |
Can I use iJoomla Sidebars on the same pages that already have iJoomla Magazine sidebars?Yes! Just make sure that you place the iJoomla Sidebar tag lower than the iJoomla Magazine sidebar tag; the magazine sidebar will always appear on top. You can see an example here. The banner is the iJoomla Sidebar; the sidebar above it was added with iJoomla Magazine. |
Can I use iJoomla SideBars on more than one domain?No, the license is for one domain only. You can, however install it on a testing domain as well. You can also use it on any sub domain and sub directory of that domain. |
