The strength of Joomla is its developers. As an open source
content management system, it relies on the 30,000 developers who spend their
spare time creating components and expanding the power of the system.
Even if you're not a developer though, it's worth getting to
know the developer forums. You'll want to know which components are being
developed, which have just been released, which have problems... and which
developers might be interested in creating a component that could solve any problems
you might be having on your site.
Joomla's own developer forum at http://dev.joomla.org/ is a good place to
start. You can surf around, see what's under construction, and who knows, it
might tempt you to hack into the code as well as use the products the
developers create.
