makes sense that the templates that make creating your site so simple should be
open source too. While you can certainly choose to pay for a professionally
designed Joomla template--and that can sometimes be the best solution,
depending on your needs--using an open source Joomla template does have its
advantages.

that's worth more than it costs, there are a number of great designs out there
that could fit your topic to a "T".
But the biggest advantage of using an open source Joomla
template is that you can easily alter it. For those with the most basic design

with a unique look without tripping up on tricky code. And for experienced
