Thursday, 24 January 2008 Since 1.5 is now stable, we plan to finish converting our extensions soon. Some of our extensions, such as iJoomla Magazine and iJoomla Surveys, are almost done. Others have some way to go.
But we still don't recommend that you upgrade to 1.5.
At the moment, there is no simple way to make the migration. That might change later this year, and if you're starting a new site, you can consider using 1.5 as long as you've made sure that all your favorite extensions are available or will be soon. ... |

Thursday, 13 December 2007 Right now, as you read this email, your site is bleeding.
It's bleeding Page Rank.
Every link that you place on a Web page makes another little hole in your site. Your users drip through that hole... and your Page Rank leaks out of it.
Of course, you need to have links on your site. It's almost impossible to build a site without them. So what you can do to make sure that your links don't drag down your Page Rank and lower your position in the search engines?

|
Sunday, 04 November 2007 You know Search Engine Optimization is one of the most important aspects of creating a website. It doesn't matter how pretty your site looks or how great the content is... if no one knows it's there, your site won't do a thing. While you could pour your bank account into Google AdWords program, it's much more rewarding (and a lot more satisfying) to get free traffic from search engines.

Saturday, 25 August 2007 Content is king, we're told... and yet we have to crown a new monarch every day. Sites that aren't regularly updated and constantly renewed find it hard to attract users and build an audience. So publishers post regularly, users keep coming... and old content disappears into the dark corners of a website never to be seen again. For Joomla publishers though, that could all be about to change. iJoomla's Search & Archive component lets users dig through a site's vintage posts, and lets publisher ea... |

Thursday, 15 March 2007 Sometimes, the old-fashioned way is best. Sure, Internet sites can deliver the news as it happens. Yes, they can do it with whiz-bang graphics, video and sound. And they can update events as information comes in. But there's still nothing like the sight of a scroller tapping out the latest details as they pour in off the wires... or your content database. Which is why iJoomla, creators of iJoomla Magazine and the iJoomla News Portal has created the first multi-line scroller component. And they'r... |

Thursday, 22 February 2007 Many of you have asked about importing RSS content to your Joomla site to use on our News Portal Component. I've done some research and found this component.
It was very hard to download it on the creator's website because of the strange way they present their content. In fact, it took me about 20 minutes to find the login module, which was needed in order to download the component. So since this component is under the GNU GPL license, I've decided to add it to our Free Extension section...
