Post subject: Ijoomla content in divs instead of tables
|
|
|
Is the ijoomla component going to start using divs instead of tables?
I use an accessible fork of joomla which uses all semantic xhtml, the ijoomla component spoils the party a little bit.
Is this in a roadmap? Will i have to convert the tables to divs myself? |

Hello,
Can you please give me more details of what you are using? Where can we get it? We'd like to look into that. We're open to it but we need to know more and see if we can do it. _________________ Merav

They release a version of their fork every time a version of joomla is released. All they are doing (i say all, they do an awful lot) is strip out anything in joomla that is not accessible and replace it with semantic xhtml.
By Joomla! 1.2 the core will be accessible out of the box as the fork is, so you may as well get ahead of the game and make your component use semantic xhtml, your component uses tables to organise it's layout, when really it would not hurt to use divs.
This is not a criticism as i think what you have done is excellent and i had no problems spending the money on your product. I just think it would enhance what you sell a lot.

Also another really good thing to have would be if the horizontal (and vertical) sections were output with alternating css classes like joomlas "sectiontableentry1" and sectiontableentry2".
