Post subject: Magazine Does not Show in Home Page
|
|
|
I have downloaded and installed the magazine accordingly and it was successful. However, I changed the number to number 1 in the main menu and linked it to component and made it my home page, but it did not show as my home page. Each time I made a change and previewed, I saw what i typed ( content) within my old rhuk_solarflare_ii template but the entire magazine is not made my home page. Do I need to remove my existing Template to make Magazine show up in my home page?
Please help.. Thanks. |

Open the magazine backend and click on the general settings, there you can find an option to make the magazine your default home page. _________________ Merav

| Yes, I did just that. The statement: "iJoomla Magazine Component is currently set as your homepage" is displayed in my general settings but i am not seeing what I was expected to see. That leads me to my next question; Does the Magazine work better on some template than the other? My current default template is rhuk_solarflare_ii. Please advise. Thanks. |

Ok, just based on the fact that you are using the default Joomla template I can tell you're just starting with Joomla, so welcome!
First, you need to understand that you need to create at least one magazine and one issue and then add articles to the issue. Only then will ijoomla magazine be able to display the content on your home page.
If you need help to set it up, drop us a support ticket. Or you can take a look at our video tutorials:

Any template really, there is a great list of template providers on the right side of this page, just browse their demo sites to find the one you like. I would recommend signing up to a template club, this way you get a lot to choose from. _________________ Merav
