Hi Rolando,
The Featured Article module will display the featured article for the issue currently being viewed. So if you are looking at issue #1, the module will show the featured article for issue #1.
If you are not viewing a magazine page, the module will display the featured article of the default issue of the default magazine.

Rolando,
That's what I would have thought, but unless I specify an articleID in the mod_featured_article I don't get anything displayed on a non-magazine page that's showing the module. The module doesn't seem to be able to find the featured article of the default issue of the default magazine -- instead it claims "No Featured Article Available" which is almost worse than the module not showing up at all.
What more do I need to do to make that happen? |

| ... the featured article from the default issue does show up inside the magazine component, but the whole idea of being able to use the mod_featured_article outside the context of the magazine should be to "tease" a feature article e.g. on a homepage to draw people inside, yes? But if I don't have the magazine set as my default homepage then it appears that mod_featured_article can't do its job unless I manually set the articleID in the parameters for the module. (See http://demo.vtsports.com for all of this). |

Hi thingwarbler,
I tested my mod_featured_article in my site and it works fine. It shows featured articles inside and outside the iJoomla Magazine.
I'm using 2.1 version without any special configuration (no item id, text/html, intro text 0, etc).
Which version are you using? _________________ Ricardo Corai
