Several Needed changes - and a suggestion

Here are some of my ideas on things that should be expanded in future versions:

1. The ability to create new Zones. It's currently very restrictive to be confined to the ones you have added.

I, for example, use the 'popular articles' for Featured Articles at the front page. So now I can't have a 'popular articles' in the sections / categories pages.

2. Allow more then 3 modules zones (which related to my previous point)

3. Banners in between stories: Take into consideration that many people don't use the basic Joomla banners module. I for example, use ArtBanners. and some people will probably soon use YOUR Ad Server. Think about it.

4. Another thing that can come in handy is allowing an external link on a news item, just like you have in the iMagazine. Sometimes I want to point people to another page on my site (a file, an image in the gallery etc..) The iMagazine solution was perfect. How about implementing it here too?

And now for a suggestion - a big one.

Tags as News Categories.

This way, instead of a tag to send me to the search page, a tag would be a news page!
You can also treat articles with other tags in addition to the main one as sections, but that might be too much.

I know there are several (very few!!) tagging solutions for joomla (phil taylor's is probably the most mature one), but all these just send you to the search page, instead of opening a new NEWS page.

You can also make tags as a separated product, as long as it interacts with the news. I commit to buying it right here right now.

BTW, all in all, you're doing a fine job. Keep it on! Smile
