Post subject: a question mark on the title of each article?
|
|
|
Hi Merav and iJoomla-ers,
I've set up Magazine here: http://tinyurl.com/yu4q6r - yet for some reason, there are question marks right by the titles of the articles (see it in action...)-
i dont think it has to do with the name of articles / encoding...
any idea why it is like this?
Second problem that I have on the same site: for some reason, the intro text of the content-item is not displayed in full (see the first article titled "member spotlight"). any idea? I thought it had to do with the formatting of the next in the intro-text - and it did, as when I removed formatting it showed more intro text- but even now that I removed all formatting, it still doesnt show all characters.
Thanks! |

I can't see any question marks.

Go to Issue Manager, edit your issue and go to design tab and check "Intro Text Char Length".

Not sure why you can't. I see a question mark (single one) after each title on the vertical zone of the issue. I've doubled check in both firefox, IE, and from different computer with other regional settings. The question mark is there.
Any idea why it's there?

Played with this already... it's set to 500 chars, yet for some reason it doesnt show that many chars, as you can see. Any idea why this happens?
Thanks. |

Finaly someone with the same problem ... Check my page http://www.zdi-krog.si or friend's http://www.kam.si. Locale for both sites is Slovenian, using UTF-8. In IE character shows as box in FF it looks like question mark.
To clearify Aviz's remark: strange character is showing between two articles at the same level as header of article.
I have found out that problem is in   between table cells. Could it be possible to remove that in future versions? |

Support ticket for that issue has been submited by my friend weeks ago.
Problem occured after last security update of component.
debreton: after a brief look I think it's in the /components/com_magazine/magazine.php.html |

Please re-submit the support ticket. We will need to take a look to find the problem. _________________ Merav

I had the same problem with the questionmark. Looking into it, I found out it was indeed a non-breaking space in magazine.html.php.
When I removed the In line 972 the problem was solved. |
