Post subject: change section pages layout
|
|
|
I am not sure if this is a general joomla question or if it is related to ijoomla... I am a noobie.
I had no problem setting up ijoomla to work with the rocket theme sporticus. It looks great. However, I'd like to remove one of the vertical columns on the section and category subpages. Do I need to modify the template, create another template and point to it, or is there another way to do this?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! |

Can you post your URL and specify what you'd like to do in more details, I am not sure if when you say column you refer to news portal columns or just modules. _________________ Merav

Yes, modules. I need to get with the terminology.

As well, how would I control the spacing between main page entries. Note the large space between "commentary" and "features."
Thanks. |

Your iJoomla News Portal is working fine. The modifications that you wish to do, you have to do it from Joomla:
ADMINISTRATOR - MODULES - SITE MODULES and edit every module selecting the pages where you want it to be shown.
I recommend you to read this guide: MiniDoc: Anna's Joomla Tips

Thanks, Ricardo.
Maybe you can help me understand why iJoomla insists on showing a content item on a page with modules from the front page?
The horizontal menu at the top shows the correct page -- as set-up in site modules: the indicated modules removed -- but the link from the iJommla generated link does a front page repeat. I don't know how to get it to stop this. Is it an iJoomla setting and if so where?

Click on the horizontal "News" menu button at the top and then the link in the iJamoola generated content on the page and please note the difference.
I'm sure I am simply missing a setting. |

| Incidentally, is there a setting to prevent resized images with content items from appearing on the front page? |

If I select the module to be shown in "mainmenu | Portada" it only will appears in Portada (Home).
If I select the module to be shown in "sections | Interés General" it will be appears in Interés General and in every item that belongs to Interés General.
Please check how did you set this. You can see an example in: www.planetacms.com
