I have several licenses of both magazine and news portal but the one I have done the most work on is my Weird news web site www.differentnews.com.

It also uses Joomla Tags, SEF Advanced, Frontpage slideshow and SIG PRO but the backbone is iJoomla's News Portal.

Check it out and let me know what you think, any comments are appreciated!

Great idea!

The more news looks a bit messy, I would increase the margin between the items (general tab) and maybe even put a border around them.

Now should I change the width and possibly add a border via the css tab?

I removed the right column which was basically used for google ads anyway, so there is more space for the secondary news portal column as well as space width in article view.

Still would like to know how to add some space between the images and the text as well as perhaps add a border or something to seperate the items.

Now open the more news zone, and on the general tab on the top right you will see "margin" increase it to 3 px.

Under that you can choose to show or hide a border, choose to show it and enter #eeeeee for very light color. As a background color try #f7f7f7

A few more tweaks but those last suggestions really hit home if you ask me!

One thing though that I hope you can help me out with.

If you look under featured sections and look under videos (right column) - the images are either not there or cut off and some of the text as well.

How can I fix that?

Any idea how I change the too much to the right cut offs of text and images in the featured section on the front page?

Hi Tony,

For length of text you can change this by editing Featured Sections zone and in "Intro" tab change Text Length property.

For images to appear it is enough that in content item you add an image in images tab and apply it You have added one for Blue Man Group - Baba O'Riley but you didn't for other two.

Check it and let me know how did it go.

Hi Vladimir, thank you for your reply.

I was not specific enough, I meant regarding the header - as you can see the headers in that section all start at different places horizontally and they are being cut off.

And to be more specific it only shows in the video section, the story and picture sections both seem ok.

Any ideas?
