Shipping not showing or adding to cart!!

Ok, this is driving me batty.. I have no problems hacking PHP or the digistore code to remove tables/borders to get it looking the way I want.

When I add a product to the shop then add numbers to the shipping fields (tab), shipping costs are not showing in the product and are not being added to the cart. Why?

My customer is driving me nuts over this and I need to figure this out.

P.S. I have only made cosmetic changes to the file and no PHP errors are showing due to my cosmetic changes.

Hi,

first make sure you have chosen correct product type - that has shipping required within name.

Second, are you logged in when viewing cart? If you are not logged in there is no way that a system can know where are you from in order to display correct shipping cost.

That still confuses me.. If it doesn't matter what the state is that I'm shipping to (since you don't use any kind of API to shippers anyway) since shipping costs are fixed, how do I get that to add or is this not something this product will do?

We will have to think of a solution to this, we will try to come up with a solution for the next version, so that if the shipping is for all users no matter where they live, it will show it even if they are not logged in.

Right now that leaves me in a crunch with this customer and now I may have to consider converting them to another cart, at my expense.
