Post subject: technorati / tags component support
|
|
|
hello all
not sure if there is anything you can do about this but...
1) registered site with technorati and embedded script in joomla template. Running ijoomla magazine as homepage (instead of frontpage component).
However, technorati doesn't seem to want to look at ijoomla homepage, instead only looks at frontpage.
Won't look at any other section of my site either FWIW - but would be great if I could get it to look at ijoomla
2) Installed Phil Taylor tags component. Allows users to add tags to comntent items, displays tags both in main body of content items and in intro. Does not display tags in intro when intros are displayed via ijoomla component, however. Would be great if ijoomla component supported Phil Taylor's tags/folksonomy component
can't wait for full release of v.2 with ability to control styles of ijoomla modules! Great component - love it! |

Hello,
I am not sure I understand #1? Can you post your URL so that we can take a look?
About #2, we can try to add support later on but there is no way for us to keep up with every extension out there. _________________ Merav

hi merav
home page is www.enemies.com
technorati profile here: http://www.technorati.com/profile/revmax
for some reason technorati can't (or isn't ) "seeing" ijoomla frontpage and so isn't registering technorati tags in intros.
That may just be how technorati looks at joomla however (as opposed to WP)

When you say "See" what do you mean? Tell me 1-2-3 what I need to do to repeat the problem please, I am a bit lost. _________________ Merav

hi merav
appreciate your responses
investigated some more, this is not an ijoomla issue
sepcifically (at least as far as I can figure out) joomla is configured to provide an RSS feed of the frontpage component only
if i want technorati to respond tpo pings and updates of the rest of my joomla site (including ijoomla) then i need to provide a different rss feed!
