Sorry, can't help you with that. The programmer who did it for us doesn't work for us anymore.

P.S. There are a few bridges out there, you may find one that actually works. Maybe the simple machine forum one.

Yeah, I've read about the bridges, but I wasn't sure if it was just something that bridged the login info or if it also integrated with the website, too.

I use the SMF bridge from Joomlahacks.com - very well supported has log-in and recent topics mods as well.

I used to have phpBB as a forum too - but just got really tired of it - so we switched to SMF - there are conversion tools to go from phpBB to SMF.

All in all my users are happier w/ the change - for me the nicest feature is spell check Razz

Well, since I run a sports gaming site, I like to have mods available like the Bookmaker mod and there's all kinds of other mods that I'm used to. See, I run Nuke-Evolution right now and the mods that came with the PHPBB in that package are sweet. I like SMF, a friend of mine uses it on his site, but there's not a lot of mods and add-ons for it.

You know, after looking at the address bar for a second, I wonder if the Community Builder is installed for this site and the forums are integrated through that?

Well, whoever their programmers were for this site, they were pretty bad ass, in my opinion. This is exactly how I would like to integrate phpBB with joomla

    Which bridge have you tried?

I would love to find a bridge or something to integrate phpBB through CB. If anyone knows of anything, the info would be more than appreciated. I've got a site that is getting more popular and I really want to do something to keep improving it. I purchased the News Portal and joined the Rockettheme Template club. Now I need to get everything put together.

I agree with Merav, fireboard is definately worth it, you can incorporate CB and PM's like Jim into it, and it feeds off your imagazine/joomla setup, you just need to create (at least I would suggest creating a seperate Database in your MySQL. You can see it on my site www.cellubration.com, I don't have PM or CB initiated right now as i'm doing some backend clean up, but you can see where it works, and you can use fireboard add-on's as I have done to display recents posts and much more! Plus if you have Advanced SEF you can see how I got a free addons to make the board SEF friendly as far as URL's go!
