i Have this strange problem..
I just managed to create a joomla website with News portal component ..
I did post some 10 articles in various categories and sections . Have sucessfully got them included in settings of news portal . But i can get
Only 3 content items in the home page of news portal . the others wont show up.I published all contents to be popular and nothing happens..
Neither can i see them in categories from accessing the news portal featured sections and categories

What is the problem Im i doing something wrong ?

Do you have a website address? My guess is that you need to add rows for the zones. If you go to zones section and select your zone top stories, lead stories, more news, you can see in the general tab rows and columns. Just add more rows to the zone and your articles should show up.

As for the popular section, again select the popular zone and go to the general tab and make sure that your articles are based on hits and not show only those marked as popular.

here is the strange problem.
When i add content from back end it shows up.
But when i add content from Ja submit the content get s published but never shows up in the home page of news portal

Okay I am not too familiary with Ja submit, but which section and category does it fall under? I would suggest putting in a support ticket to see if they can get it to work.

I don´t think this has something to do in this problem. Anyway you can use jp Submissionary.

same problem here.

wen some user submit content via jpsubmisionary it dont apear in NP even tough its published and apears in NP content items

Edit your item and check if "Start Publishing" is correct.
