Title: featured article problem Post by: macleod2 on April 09, 2008, 07:47:57 AM hi,
why is it that I can get rss content showing up in featured article #n? I have got the featured article working but it was not so straight forward, nice work anyway folks! I was able to replicate the problem on your demo portal. Very happy to use your code, happy customer. :) Title: Re: featured article problem Post by: RicardoCorai on April 10, 2008, 07:23:07 AM Hi,
I will try to solve this problem and I will be back with a answer. Best regards, Title: Re: featured article problem Post by: macleod2 on April 12, 2008, 06:08:53 AM Hi Ricardo,
Thankyou for the reply. Followup: I have also had the problem appear when the dns failed for a site that I was getting {rss3} from which then switched to {rss1}. Can you think of a way to handle the error processing to retain a copy from the last cached data which does not cost too many cycles? Or would it be better to have the means to "pre-prepair" a formated set of data from whatever source for a specific area? I don't have a clue how you program the news portal, I am just trying to guess at things... thanks. This is an interesting idea. I will report this to our programmers in order to consider it for future releases, if is possible.
