Title: Placement of Magazine Component
Post by: waveyuk on April 28, 2008, 04:51:37 AM
Hi.
I've been using the iJoomla magazine component for some time now, and it's great.  However, I am in the middle of a redesign for our site.  I use templates from RocketTemplate.com.  What I would like to be able to do is to have the magazine component placed in one of the "module position" areas instead of it being the main body item.  The reason for this is that the template I intend to use has all the module positions placed underneath the main body text.  Can this be done?
Thanks
Dave

Hi,
There is no way to do this on Joomla.
Best regards,

There are a number of good ways to achieve this.

1)  Load your ijoomla magazine into mod_wrapper (basically an iframe) - this is my least favorite method. Make sure you use index2.php and not index.php -otherwise your template will also load.

2)  Use componentbot - this a mambot that also uses an iframe

3)  Use one of dymanic drive's ajax scripts to load ijoomla magazine into your page.

There are probably other methods - but that's just off the top of my head.
