Title: Some questions
Post by: giankosr on May 15, 2008, 04:49:58 AM
Hello,

i have some questions about ijoomla surveys.

a) I want at the end of each survey the user-customer to fill a form with his name, address, phone etc. Then i want to be able to see the answers of each customer seperate from the backend.
If this is not possible with ijoomla survey how i could do it without be necessary for the users to register in my site?

b) The email with the results how it looks like? I cant find it in any demo page.

Thank you.

No problem with this. You can use a custom form component or iJoomla Surveys component in order to make a form with custom fields. On backend you can set a redirection page to that custom form (if you use another extension) or in the last survey´s page you can place your custom form (if you use iJoomla Surveys).

Then i want to be able to see the answers of each customer seperate from the backend.
At this point you can export general statistics to a csv file, meaning that you will only be able to see global data instead of answers by customers.
Anyway, on backend you can consult answers by customer.

You can set your survey for all visitors.

This email looks like this:
Quote
New survey!
    Survey name: YOUR SURVEY NAME

    Results:
    QUESTION 1: ANSWER X
    QUESTION 2: ANSWER X
    QUESTION 3: ANSWER X
Remember that you can customize this email.
Best regards,

Even if they are not registered users? You mean that i can filter the results by the custom form (wich will be a survey page with field for name, address etc.) ? So i will be able to see the answers only for x customer ?

Sorry for asking again but it is very important for me.

Thank you.

You will see something like this (see the attached image).
In order to make a custom form you will need to use "Open Ended - One Line w/Prompt", "Open Ended - Essay", etc.
Check this... (http://ijoomla.com/surveys/questions.htm)

So, for my scenario it will not work.

Because i want the unregistered users to fill a form with their name, address etc and see the answers for each of them seperatly from the backend. I repeat that i need this for unregistered users.

The only solution that i can see is to collect every email that recieve. One of the questions of the survey will be their name and i will know the answers for the certain visitor. Except if there is something that i didnt understand.

Thank you for your time!  :)

Yes, at this moment this can be a solution for you.
