Title: Aligning Titles and Backgrounds in Featured Section Zone Post by: OpieOne on May 17, 2008, 08:41:23 AM I just upgraded to News Portal 1.0.
Two problems I haven't been able to resolve... PROBLEM 1 I use a background color for the Headings in the Featured Sections (and Featured Categories) zone. The background color used to stretch to 100% of the column width. And the text would align center to the column width. They no longer do this. It seams the width of the background is determined by the text length. Am I missing a command or could someone provide the code and location in the news.css file. Problem 2 I need to add more spacing between the Heading and the first Title of the Featured Section (and Featured Category) zones. Right now the first title too close to the Heading (not enough bottom Padding). If I add a thick border to the bottom of the header (same color as the page background) it should give me the spacing needed. It did in the earlier version. Right now the first title below the heading doesn't recognize the border is there - and it IS there. It just lays over the top of it. Is there a fix for this spacing issue? I'd prefer to not use an invisible border if possible. Thanks for the time and help! The "Block Heading Background" color in the Section and Category Zones doesn't cover 100% of the column width. It's length is determined by the text length. The line Height fix is not working either. I still can't adjust the spacing between the Header and the Title of the articles. Sorry to be annoying. I thought that version 1.0.1 would have fixed the problem but it didn't. :( Oh well. The beta version works well for me.

Hi, On other servers, where you have installed news portal components, you need to copy this two files : "components/com_news_portal/news_default.css" "components/com_news_portal/news_portal.html.php" and recreate css file, by going on "Featured Sections" zone, in admin area, and click on save button. Regards. and fixed!!! Good luck
