Title: Shipping Regions Post by: Dhahii on May 27, 2008, 06:19:12 AM Hi,
I was wondering if Shipping Regions would be a future feature we could look forward to. By this I mean: The ability to create a shipping region, e.g. UK, and incorporate England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales and Other dependencies, e.g. Channel Islands. I choose this as a fairly obvious example, but was thinking in terms of Continental areas, really: Europe, Asia, North America etc etc etc. For each region, it would then be possible to allocate a fixed shipping cost. At the moment with Version 1.0.3, You can go on the local level within your own country (Great for US and other large countries - not much use for anywhere else!) up to International. The current system means that you can only set a flat cost for anywhere outside your own country - as I'm sure you are aware (probably painfully? :) ) The idea that shipping from Germany to France should cost the same as Germany to Australia seems to be a bit primitive - surely if a country's internal structures can be implemented, then an international structure shouldn't be so difficult? After all, countries don't really hop from one continent to another, tectonics included :) Cheers, Dave (aka Cheeky Monkey)
