1  iJoomla News Portal / Support Questions / Size of news.css on: August 27, 2008, 12:11:11 PM
In NewsPortal 1.0.1 the "news.css" is 117.9 kb.
For what is the "news_default.css" which has a size about 219.2 kb and 6780 (!) Lines of Code with a lot of comment lines in there?

My own news.css is about 160 kb. This is very bad for a css file...
Why do you have such a lot of comment lines in the css?
So many Users are wondering why there sites are "slow" - this is only one reason...

What will happen when I delete all unnecessary lines and upload this news.css?
When I change a setting in the "Zone" will all the other unnecessary css lines load again from the news_default.css?
2  iJoomla News Portal / Support Questions / Re: How many Joomla queries are normal when using News Portal? on: August 14, 2008, 10:51:28 PM
These are references. You can remove it if you prefer.

I know, but this is a bad solution.
Because everytime I change something in the "zones" these references will be reseted. Then I have to spend really a lot of time to remove the lines....

I 've checked my own news.css. Its the same problem - about 160kb and tons of comment lines like /*16_heading_padding_size_right*/ and so on.

Why are doing this? This is blowing up unnecessary any site...

Thanks a lot. :-)

BTW
If I may found a bug, is it the better way to open a ticket or to notice it in the forum?

Kind regards, Mirko

Seems that I have found the problem/bug !

For NewsPortal 1.0:

If you choose Article Orientation (Horizontal) at "Edit Zones (Featured Categories)" the Headings are gone !!!
Only with Article Orientation (Vertical) the headings will be shown.

Could somebody please check this !

Kind regards, Mirko

11  iJoomla News Portal / Support Questions / Re: Where are my section Headings? on: April 28, 2008, 12:57:11 PM
I am wondering about this topic, because no supporter is answering...

Are they on holiday? No menpower?

So - what to do? Open a personalized ticket even though it seems to be a general problem/bug?

But what is this forum for?
Kind regards, Mirko

At this point we don“t have the changelog published. Anyway here you can see the new features for iJoomla News Portal 1.0.0.
OK. Thanks, but I am still waiting for complete Changelog, because it is a step from 0.0.24 to 1.0.0 !

Have a look at this topic too:
http://www.ijoomla.com/option,com_smf/Itemid,6000/topic,1156.0/

There is something changed with showing headings for sections and categories.
In Version 1.0.0 now the "{featured categories}" shows the entered heading for each article but not anymore the "category heading".

In News Portal Administration there are a few new field.
The "Show 'view all'" adn "Show description" doesnt' seem to do anything. What stand this for?

Try to have a look at www.wuncity.de I am using {featured categories}, not {featured section at the bottom of the page}

P.S. I always do a complete backup. ;-)

Can I find a complete Changelog anywhere. There is none in the new package News portal 1.00 and none on your website. (I do not mean the 4 sentences on the Products/newsPortal/Changelog)
This may prevent some suprises when update to a new version.

BTW: Can't find a word that you've changed the headings settings by {featured categories} and {featured sections}.
