iJoomla News Portal / Report Bugs / Re: Zone Names do not appear for Featured Articles

Just did another clean install on a development box with nothing on it but iNews Portal. The Zone Name does not appear for the Featured Articles. It works for everything else.
One other issue... the "Most Popular" zone will always switch back to "marked most popular" even if you save it as "most hits". And it switches it back even if you save a completely different zone.
Should I open a support ticket for this?
Thanks!

No .. with the old version the Zone name appears on the front page... just like "Top Stories"... that is a zone name. However the zone name for the Featured Stories does not appear. All of the associated articles are there, just no zone name. I have a Title (or Zone Name for each) and I need it to appear.
In the Joomla 1.0.15 version it works just fine...
Thanks

iJoomla News Portal / Support Questions / Display Section Title with Category Title in "Featured Categories" area
|

I have sections with different names (Cat, Dog) however I have categories with the same name (Grooming, Training, etc). On the homepage, when I display featured categories, it just shows two Grooming, two Training, etc. with no way other than the reader looking at the article titles to guess which one is for Cats or Dogs.
Does anyone know if there is a way to modify the code to display the Section Name with the Category Name? It is already being done if you click on a Category and go to that page but I can't find where in the code the homepage information is built.
Thanks in advance for any ideas / suggestions!

You're right ... I just setup my demo site and everything works. I am not running SEF Advanced on that site so I wonder if this has something to do with the SEF plugin?
EDIT: I also disabled SEF Advanced for the iNews Portal component and everything worked correctly so there is definitely something wrong with the SEF plugin.
Thanks...

iJoomla News Portal / Report Bugs / two categories with the same name

I have a section named Dogs and another named Cats, There is a category for each named Breeds. When the homepage of iNews Portal list the categories of course it list both however regardless of which one you click on ONLY the first one in the joomla category list is ever displayed. If you change the name of the second one so that all category names are unique then it isn't a problem.
It would seem that since there is a unique category ID for both the correct one would be displayed. In fact, the SEFAdvanced URL has the CORRECT URL (/cats/breeds/) however the "dogs/breeds" category page is displayed.
Is this a bug in the software?
Thanks!
