General / General iJoomla Discussions / Re: Please take steps to deal with porn postings

I'm going to bump this up because yet again I've clicked 'view latest posts' to find my screen full of explicit pornographic images. This has to be dealt with. I don't know about other countries but here in the UK viewing pornographic images on workplace computers is nearly always a disciplinary offence that brings instant dismissal. People who are using iJoomla products at work will of course want to keep an eye on this forum ane they could find themselves sacked and possibly unemployable in the future. You must get this sorted out, it is a critical issue.

Yes, I just tested it on my own account and if you already have a license on an iJoomla component and you order a second copy, if you input the discount coupon code you get a further 12% reduction on the ticket price in addition to the 20% discount. How much better can it get ? Thanks to Merav and iJoomla !

iJoomla Search & Archive / Support Questions / Missing Modules ?
|
on: February 25, 2008, 12:46:14 PM
|
|
In the 'About' of the component I see this; Modules Installed + iJoomla Search version 1.0.0 Not installed + iJoomla Archive by Authors Not installed + iJoomla Archive by past 4 weeks Not installed + iJoomla Archive by last 7 days Not installed + iJoomla Archive by Sections/Categories Not installed + iJoomla Archive by Years/Months
Have the Not Installed modules not been released yet or am I missing them ?
All the best

iJoomla Magazine / Support Questions / Re: Sub Navigation Issues
|
on: February 11, 2008, 02:42:49 PM

There's not a simple solution, as far as I can see it just isn't going to work. I've posted on this previously, see here; http://www.ijoomla.com/option,com_smf/Itemid,6000/topic,701.0/The post includes references to the previous board. Ricardo suggests a support ticket, I didn't because I chose to retreat to a different plan of action. You should definitely raise a support ticket and please iJoomla folks, if there is a solution, let us know about it. All the best.

iJoomla Magazine / Troubleshooting / Re: Articles doubling up??
|
on: February 04, 2008, 02:35:00 PM

Articles themselves haven't doubled up, it's just that the articles are showing the article title both from Magazine and from the raw Joomla article. Go to Magazine/Manage Content/Articles and in the Articles manager 'General' tab switch 'Hide/Show Heading' to 'Hide'.
Hope that helps Eddie

iJoomla News Portal / Pre-Sales Questions / Re: Will Newsportal work for this?

Cheri, all you would need for that would be a simple link on a web page saying 'click here to download a PDF of our newspaper'. If you want to create an online version of a newspaper you are going to have to do much much more. Presumably that's why your client is looking to hire you. I do just this using iJoomla. The client copies me in on the PDF's they send to the printers. Using Acrobat Professional 8 I extract the text and save pages as JPG's to cut out pictures, I also print out pages as reference. I input the text as individual articles in Joomla and add a picture to each one. I then fire up iJoomla magazine, create a new issue and add articles after referencing print outs to see what the headline stories are. I then pick out the centre pages article and make this the 'featured article'. There are no shortcuts to making an online publication but there is no doubt iJoomla Magazine is the only real solution, iJoomla News Portal for a constantly updated news site. Hope that helps.
Eddie
