Hello, I have a fairly heavy site using Joomla 1.0.x and three iJoomla components (News Portal / Magazine / Search & Archive), think about 4k+ articles and 40k+ users. Now that's iJoomla News Portal to Joomla 1.5.x is out, I would like to move to a Joomla 1.5.x installation. How to do that without losing my iJoomla configs and preferences? How to start? Are there some documentation to read? Some of you have personal experience with this kind of migration? I appreciate any help  |

We think that the consumption of resources is the necessary for a news portal system. Anyway, we are trying to improve this.
So do I. That's why I am a fan of the News Portal I suggest you to use Joomla´s cache system.

Hi! I just love iJoomla News Portal but I have to admit it is slow and recourse intensive. As I have absolutely no intention to give up the iJoomla products, is there any tips & tricks to gain performance? I remember something of that kind in the old forum. Should I open a support ticket? Thanks |

Greetings,
I would like to have the option to set multiple alternative templates (not layouts) do News Portal, associated each one with my site templates. Example:
I configure a template A in News Portal, with a white background, and a template B, with dark background. And I set that if my user is using, let's say, MediaMogul (Jan/08 from RockTheme, a template with white background), show the template A from News Portal. But if it's using the template Dimensions (Nov/07 from RockTheme, a template with dark background), show the template B from News Portal.
I would like to have a white and a dark template to my users choose from but I cannot, because of iJoomla News Portal.
