1  iJoomla Google Style Module / iJoomla GoogleStyle Module / Customizing to match site theme on: May 30, 2008, 07:45:53 AM
Hi,

I'm working on a client's website. I've installed iJoomla GoogleStyle module for him in a Rockettheme template (Sporticus V2).  The module doesn't give me the option of setting the module class suffix. I looked in various module related files, but didn't see an opportunity to make an adjustment there, either.

I need to tell it to use the mod class suffix -hilite. Any help would be appreciated.  I'd also like to tell it to NOT show the "Section" title (in this case "Commentary"), but can't find anywhere to turn that off, either.

Site is www.usathisweek.com. The module is in the User7 module position.

Hi,

PS: Having the same issue with the GoogleStyle module, but will repost the question in that thread. Thanks again!
3  iJoomla News Portal / Suggestions/Ideas / RSS & Magazine Integration on: May 06, 2008, 03:09:26 PM
Assuming I can figure out how to fine tune the RSS feeds, I'd like to see an unlimited (or at least higher) number of feeds (3 isn't very many if you're running a serious news portal).

I'd also like to see a "Feature Magazine" option similar to the feature article option for those of us using both Newsportal AND Magazine. Right now, I'm pulling one in through featured article (bug there is only allowing me to pull one in).  I'd like to be able to just use the issue ID instead of having to resort to sections, categories, or articles.
4  iJoomla News Portal / Support Questions / Questions about Featured Article, RSS1-3 and Module Positions 1-3 on: May 06, 2008, 05:15:22 AM
I finally got the RSS feeds to work on our homepage, but ONLY if I draw the feeds from three different domains. If I try to draw two different feeds from the same domain, it repeats the first feed for that domain in the second feed.  Is there a fix for that?

Module positions work, but do two things - break the template (I can't seem to override the sizing controls) and the second is redundancy. To get them to work, they have to be turned on in the main template. If I create special module positions for them that are not part of the site template, will that fix this problem?

Featured Article - this one isn't working for me very well at all. I got the first one to work by using a category ID.  I can't get #2 or 3 to work at all unless I use a category ID, and then it overrides my second and third choices and just repeats the category from the first choice. Am I doing something wrong?

Site is www.tanasijournal.com.  Right now, the RSS and Featured articles are set up on the homepage only. Module positions are not set up at all due to the problems listed above.
5  iJoomla News Portal / Show off your News Portal / www.tanasijournal.com on: May 05, 2008, 06:51:39 PM
We have just upgraded Tanasi Journal (www.tanasijournal.com) to add iJoomla Newsportal. TJ has been successfully powered by iJoomla Magazine for over a year now, but changes in management and staff created a need for a more time efficient publishing tool. We are so sold on iJoomla products, we decided to come back and explore options. Newsportal was the perfect addition. We revamped our sections and categories, moving the most frequently changing sections into Newsportal. We're still working out some details like styling, and trying to figure out some quirks (inbound RSS feeds, featured articles #2 and #3, and module positions). We would appreciate any feedback on the site.
