iJoomla Magazine / Support Questions / Articles not showing in the issue for Ijoomla 1.5 mag

Specs: local server xampp php: 5.2.4 Ijoomla 1.5.3 stable cache plugin- disable legacy plugin-disable
Ijoomla 1.5 mag was working fine on my local server, I was able to add new articles for a while. Now when I try to add a new article to an issue it doesn't appear in the issue sections. The few that does, didn't seem to be connected to a magazine or issue. The columns were blank. In addition, I attempted to delete a few article, it said "article successfully deleted.", but it was still there. The same thing for adding articles. It said that it successfully added, but nothing is added.
Is this a issue with Ijoomla or Joomla?

iJoomla Magazine / Support Questions / Re: article link modules conflict with Ijoomla Mag

The problem was what I stated before. Because the articles on the link modules has no where to go, it will load on the front page. So what I did was create another menu section. I was using "othermenu". I created a Blog->category. I didn't need to show "othermenu", to my visitors, however when they click on the article link, it will show the article in a different section. I HOPE THIS HELP SOMEONE OUT THERE. It took me a couple of days and researching to figure out what the problem was.

iJoomla Magazine / Support Questions / article link modules conflict with Ijoomla Mag

It seems that I have been running into this problem for quite some time and I would like to know if others have to. I set up Ijoomla Mag {IM), as my Home page for "mainmenu". I then created Magazines and Issues, which produces it own Link-url in the "Magazines" menu. I then move over the Link-url to the "mainmenu". Therefore, I have something like this in my "mainmenu" ------------ Home -- component--> ijoomla magazine menu1 link-url menu2 link-url menu3 link-url menu4 link-url ------------
Therefore, I am able to load articles on the homepages, which is great. The PROBLEM, is what when I put modules that has article link in it, like "latest News" and "Popular articles", when ever someone click on the articles within one of the modules, the articles loads at the bottom of homepage, instead of another area. I was just wondering, what could be the problem, then I came up with this.
________________________________
Could it be? I read that one of the limitation, is that Ijoomla Mag and everything is seen as one component, so when I have all the menu links at top then use one of the module that shows a list of articles, it has no where to go but the front page, because Joomla is looking at Ijoomla Mag as just one component? Could this be the reason why when I click on the links of one of the module list such as "random news" or "newsflash" it loads it on the front page? If so, could there be a way around? ________________________________ Please take a look at the images: Is someone else having this problem?

This is the third time that I have post a questions, only to find that it has been deleted from this forum. If this one stays it would be a true surprise to me. Yes, I understand that some of my questions are newbish, and I apologize for that. But, other questions I ask is to generate some form of conversation to see if I am the only one that is having the problem or is it others.

Thanks so much, I will try that. I guess I wont make it "special", because I am going to give access to certain people so that they can look at it and also add contents. Would I still use a static content if I want to use a picture. I was trying to replicate www.adultswim.com and how they have an image at the beginning then you have to click in. Thanks

iJoomla Magazine / Troubleshooting / Ijoomla and Private Site
|

I have Ijoomla Magazine and would like to make my site private until I filled it up with contents by different authors. What good is a site without a contents? So I was wondering how make my site private until I am ready to open it up to the public?
I tried to make Home-->ijoomla magazine set to register user But the only thing that does it just make the "home" on the menu disappear.
Is there any other options that I can use to make my site private until I get it on a server and open it to the public?
Thanks
