iJoomla Digistore / Report Bugs / Re: attributes not showing on orders in backend

that's not a very helpful reply. This is quite a serious bug. If someone orders a 'green' 'M' teeshirt, only one of their choices gets saved in the order in the backend.
I don't know php - that's why I'm using components like digistore. If there's anyone out there who knows how to alter the paypal plugin file to included the order attributes, I'd be so grateful. Or some indication of when/if this feature is going to be included in Digistore. thanks

iJoomla Digistore / Report Bugs / mambot/attributes not working with multiple products on a page.
|
on: December 07, 2007, 04:15:20 AM

when I have two products with attributes and they are both on the same page in joomla content I get the following problem:
I put the description then the {digistore id=1} for the first product and the 'add to cart' plus the drop down attribute selector shows up.
I try to do the same for the next product on the page, (which also has the same attribute) but only the 'add to cart' button shows up, not the dropdown box. If I click the button I have to go into the cart to edit the attribute.
So although I've paid for the mambot, I can't use it at the moment. Great....

iJoomla Digistore / Report Bugs / attributes not showing on orders in backend

When you set up a product with more than one attribute (e.g. a tshirt with size and colour) then I get the following:
1) when you go into the backend and look up the order/licence (dumb word) then only the first attribute shows. So I can order a green, size M teeshirt, but in the order details it's only saved 'green'. I have to set up a new product for each colour to get around this. 2) since none of the attributes get carried over to paypal, it means I have to trek through the backend then trek through to paypal and try to match things up. There's no way of importing sales data from digistore or printing invoices or labels, so it's a shame I can't just use paypal. 3) along with the other problems to do with shipping and mambot (see next post) I really need to get this working. It is already on a live site. I am grinning and bearing this and putting up with the extra admin burden until I can get zencart up and running so I can get rid of digistore, cos frankly I think it's a classic overpromise: underdeliver scenario.

iJoomla Digistore / Support Questions / attributes not carrying over to paypal

I found this on the old forum, but it's exactly what I was going to post: this is urgent. Seems like digistore works OK for downloadable products, but for those of us with shippable products the integration/logistics side of actually shipping stuff is very shaky.

Well if this is possible that would be good..or even the order number to match with the order in digistore..
Otherwise if there is a way to get a copy of the order confirmation email with the attributes listed to the admin email

iJoomla Digistore / Suggestions/Ideas / Re: why is the mambot a separate item?

Ii think I may have misunderstood the mambot features when I bought it. Can I have a digistore on one joomla site, then publish the mambot on a different site that links to the shop on the first? e.g instead of just {digistore id=1}, have {digistore id= someotherurl/1}

iJoomla Digistore / Suggestions/Ideas / more stock features
|
on: December 07, 2007, 12:54:04 AM
|

We have teeshirts that come in several sizes. Some sizes sell out before others, but when I try to add stock I can't specify any field values for the products, so I can't use the stock feature. The stock feature should include the mandatory fields from that product. A work around could be to set up a different product for each size, but that defeats the object of having selectable fields and looks clunky. Bummer as I was keen on using the stock feature but it's useless to me at the moment. What I want is for a product (eg a teeshirt) to have a drop down list of sizes, and the sizes not in stock to be greyed out in the list/not selectable. It seems the digistore is well thought out for downloadable products and licenses, but not so good for tangible goods.

iJoomla Digistore / Report Bugs / problem with counties, countries and shipping rates in the UK
|
on: December 06, 2007, 04:20:18 AM
|
|
a) There's no entry in UK > England > Counties for London. b) We want to offer free shipping in the UK (i.e. England, Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland) but charge extra for shipping outside the UK. Currently I have to specify a country (england) for the store, then my only option is to set free shipping within my country but extra cost for outside my country. This means either I have to charge a shopper in wales or scotland the extra shipping rate, or basically I have to offer the whole world free shipping. I.e I need the option to select free shipping for multiple countries, or to have UK as a single choice in the shipping selector.
For now I'll have to do some stupid hack like adding an extra product for overseas shipping just to get this to work. Please help. This is going to look dumb

iJoomla Magazine / Troubleshooting / bit of a blonde question re domains...
|
on: November 05, 2007, 01:21:50 PM
|

OK, so this might sound dumb.. I am setting up a new iJoomla (Magazine + Digistore) site from scratch for a charity. They already have an existing site (bestbeginnings.info) on a different hosting provider, but I'm not ready to just move the domain over to the new web host as there's no content there yet. The previous site isn't Joomla and I'm not moving any of those files over. So I've got a new web hosting account on a new domain at bbappeal.org. I'm setting up all my Joomla content and installed Magazine and Digistore here. But when the site is ready, I need to get bestbeginnings.info and set it as the primary domain for my new Joomla site (not just point it).
When I downloaded Magazine and Digistore I set bbappeal.org as the dev url and bestbeginnings.info as the live site url. But how do I switch it over? Can I just uninstall the dev mods and coms and reinstall the live ones without losing all my settings, products, magazines etc.... Any advice welcome, as you can tell I'm a complete iJoomla newbie and never done this switching domains thing before! Thanks

iJoomla Digistore / Pre-Sales Questions / where are the packages??
|
on: October 31, 2007, 11:15:01 PM
|
|
I've been checking out iJoomla for the last week, and very interested in several components. I got the special offer email for a further $10 off and thought yipee, now I will go and buy Magazine and Digistore.... now I saw these two as a package deal the other day for $139.99 but now I can't get to this page anymore, have you taken it off while the special offer is on? Now if I add the Mag and digistore to the cart, then apply the discount, it still ends up costing more than 139.99. Am I being dumb or what? Or is the special deal not so special after all...I have just spent a few days selling the iJoomla concept to a UK charity so I really need this to work now, for the money I specified originally. Thanks.
