iJoomla Magazine / Support Questions / Structure Questions and search

Working on a magazine, with sections, categories, current issue, old issues, trying to figure the best way to structure it. I am using iJoomla Magazine.
Magazine (Magazine)
Issue (Travel) Section (travel) Categories (hotel) Categories (restaurant) Categories (etc)
(Looking to make a dropdown menu to filter an issue, by Section/Categories and looking for the best approach inside Ijoomla Magazine if possible)
Trying to figure out the best way to structure for clients request to be able to filter a section (inside an issue) by category.
I was not going to archive anything, but keep all issues "live" in standalone magazines.
So it is working like this:
I have a current web issue.
which we bring different stories into the front page.
Then I have issues for each section like Travel (since old issues don't change, I am making them separate magazines) selectable by a menu
My joomla section would be Travel, then a category like Restaurant.
So when I go to issue Travel, I want to have a categories filter, like Restaurants, Hotels, etc in a drop down list to filter the sections in that issue by category.
Question is, does this approach make sense, and what would be the best way to make a dropdown to filter the section in an issue by categories. This would be pulling from and magazine on the site that had a section all within Ijoomla Magazine.

iJoomla Magazine / Pre-Sales Questions / Re: Questions about a new magazine project (looking at iJoomla Magazine)

Actually have a couple more questions.
Can you describe this a bit more
"When you create magazines/issues, it would be a good idea to name the magazine the same as your section or category and the issue the month of the issue. For example "Dec 2007"."
Does that mean we have to duplicate all the sections/categories each month?
I am planning on having several sections and several categories for each section, want to keep the issues separate by month
For example:
Travel Hotels Restaurants Skiing Fishing
Equipment Fishing Skiing
Just not sure what you mean about naming the mag the same as section or category

Wanting to see if iJoomla Magazine would help us.
We are designers trying to put up a Joomla-based monthly, archiveable by issue, searchable by categories/subcategories. Articles to be able to be placed in multiple categories, and searchable through all the past archived issues, as well as current
(I am trying to get my head around the whole thing) wondering if the homepage, or a pic of it from past issues could be on a archive page and the past issues could be read as a whole issue from their "homepage" and try to understand how to set up all the sections, categories, subcategories without going down too many "blind alleys" along the way, Thanks
