Ordering of packages and ads : iJoomla Ad Agency

Hi

I would like to have some way of sorting/ordering the packages. As it is now, they are listed in the order they are created.

So if I would have to reorder them now, I would have to delete them all and recreate them.

Added: Same goes for ads - lets say you want to reorder your ads because you have e.g. 10 textlinks or 3 bannerads visible at a time in one zone, then it would be nice if you could sort/arrange them - perhaps you want to favor some advertisers by giving them the first position, or just arrange them by name or relevance... you name it.

Hope you would consider this in the next version

Ordering of Packages: Version 1.0.6

ijoomla_ad_agency.php - line 3489

Here are two method's I've worked out to do the sorting.

To sort by Description, change:

$sql = "SELECT *
   FROM #__ad_agency_order_type WHERE `published`='1'
   LIMIT {$limitstart},{$limit}";

to:

$sql = "SELECT *
   FROM #__ad_agency_order_type WHERE `published`='1'
   ORDER BY `description` ASC
   LIMIT {$limitstart},{$limit}";

The second method is a bit more complicated, as you need to change a few things. Firstly, instead of ORDER BY `description` ASC put in ORDER BY `sid` ASC in the above code change.

Next, using MyPHPAdmin, enter the appropriate sort numbers into the sid field in the #__ad_agency_order_type table.

This is assuming that the sid field in the #__ad_agency_order_type table is for the sort id for the packages, it's not implemented in the packages listing page in the back end. As the code for the back end of ad agency is encoded, the sort options need to be implemented by iJoomla.

Can the reordering of packages and ads via the joomla backend (up/down arrows and also numbering ordering) please be implemented in next release!!!

I need to be able to reorder packages and ads.

When could we expect this to happen?
