It's using iJoomla News Portal in a more different way, first... it's using a customized html layout that takes advantage of iJoomla News Portal's module position zones than laying out the content. Only the top story and most popular zones are shown plus, its appearance have been slightly modified to make the most popular zone scrollable, thus making the zone fixed on a certain height.

The end result is taking the extension into a different dimension of use. I also didnt use the sections and categories feature, as I preferred content to be laid out like a blog.

I hope future versions of iJoomla News Portals would have more module position zones for more customization.

The template is also designed from the ground up with the help of the dreamweaver extension for joomla templates and has been visually integrated with Invision Board.
