At one of the sites where we use Newportal, Fireboard plays a "big role".

I saw that the new 1.0 NewsPortal has integration for jomcomment......is it possible for us to integrate a list of latest posts in the NewsPortal also?

Hi,
You can use "Syndicated news" {rss1} in order to sindicate the latest threads from your forums. Also you can use  "Module Position" {module_position1} to put your news topic module on your iJoomla News Portal.
