I just upgraded to 1.0.1 and received this error:

Looks like I need the constants.php file.   Huh

you need to upload this files( i have the sam error)

file constants.php, news_portal.config.php
and css files for admin, and couple more, but that it's not the end, i can save changes, or any thing else, save and cancel button don't exist,  probable css problem or javascript

White out after upgrade. Uninstalled and reinstalled older version fixed site.

resolved, everythings works, if you have the sam problem like me with installation, then you have to upload this files to administrator/components/news_portal/

constants.php
news_portal.config.php
toolbar.news_portal.php
toolbar.news_portal.html.php

and just for case, folders css and javascript ( i thing it's not neccessary)

All files you can find when you extract zip file on your PC

And all works just fine. Grin

I have tried both methods to fix the upgrade problem and in the end I had to restore the old news portal files. NOT VERY HAPPY!

Please can the installation package be fixed asap, please!

In the "new" newsportal 1.0.1 package is only the Ioncube_loader !!!
Please check this...

yes, i have the sam issue, only ioncube loader in zip file, and have again with broken first package install news portal
