two categories with the same name

I have a section named Dogs and another named Cats, There is a category for each named Breeds. When the homepage of iNews Portal list the categories of course it list both however regardless of which one you click on ONLY the first one in the joomla category list is ever displayed. If you change the name of the second one so that all category names are unique then it isn't a problem.

It would seem that since there is a unique category ID for both the correct one would be displayed. In fact, the SEFAdvanced URL has the CORRECT URL (/cats/breeds/) however the "dogs/breeds" category page is displayed.

Is this a bug in the software?

Hi,
I just checked on my J! site and I see these links:
- index.php?option=com_news_portal&task=category&id=1&Itemid=3 (Dog/Breeds)
- index.php?option=com_news_portal&task=category&id=7&Itemid=9 (Cats/Breeds)
I think this could be a SEF Advance setting. Anyway, can you post your site´s URL?
I will check your site in order to try to help you with this.

You're right ... I just setup my demo site and everything works. I am not running SEF Advanced on that site so I wonder if this has something to do with the SEF plugin?

EDIT: I also disabled SEF Advanced for the iNews Portal component and everything worked correctly so there is definitely something wrong with the SEF plugin.

I just set an alias on your SEF Advance and now it´s working fine.
