Asign modules to sections and categories?
«

Hi,
I will post my question for support here also, as i have shorth time to finish my project.
How can it be that if i add the url of a news_portal category to my mainmenu, it's not possible to add modules to the category?
It can be done with everything else but not news_portal categorylinks ?
The link will work if i do it, but it will not be possible to add a module to it, as the link not will be visible so i can asign the module to it?
Hope for quick response as i have only 1½ day to deliver this task to my customer.

As you said, you need to create a category item on your main menu in order to be able to assign a module from your module manager.
Best regards,

When you are editing a module you will see the "Pages / Items" parameter (see the attached file). There you can set where you need to show your module.
Ex. you can set to show your polls module only on your politic section.

I think you are a bit confused about this. Let me try to help you. You can create a main menu like this:
Home
- News Section 1
-- Politics
-- Economy
-- Etc.
- News Section 2
-- Tech
-- Health
-- Etc.
Then, for example you can publish a module with ads just for tech category. You can do this by editing your ads module and setting Pages/Items parameter for Tech category only. This way, you will have a module with your ads just on this category.
Let me know if you have more doubts about this. Anyway, if you prefer you can submit a support ticket asking about this and we will be more than happy to help you with the settings.
Best regards,
