NewsPortal is THE lynchpin of http://worldnewstrust.com and we have been waiting with bated breath for the release of the 1.5 version, so we can migrate and institute new concepts and designs. We really love the 1.0 version, it truly makes us what we are and your support has always been non pariel. It's just that we really need the 1.5 version.

So, all that said: Might we have an update as to when it will be released?

Many thanks for all you do.

Ok, Ricardo. We are really on tenterhooks here, because our site is all about content and your presentation layer is the thing that makes it work. That said, I am sure that once you release it, we will be glad for the wait.

I dropped this a while ago and I'm glad I did.  Moving over to Joomla 1.5 involves a good number of changes that are for the better.

As far as New Portal taking so much time here to get a 1.5 version out, I would venture to guess that much time has been spent on the encryption (ion cube) part for the licensing.  Yes I see why you need it, but at the same time you are one of the most expensive Joomla companies and are failing to release components in a timely manner.

It's a neat add-on and I enjoyed it while I had it, but it obviously wasn't something that I could grow with because you guys can't keep up with it.

I am gonna have to agree with you, regarding the IonCube aspect. On top of that, it has been problematic for us with certain server upgrades. Right now, we have no backend showing on NewsPortal, due to these upgrades and nothing seems to work.

I love the component but IonCube is a finicky beast. I sure wish there was a better way for iJoomla to deal with the issue.

And our hosting company considers IonCube, and I quote, "an abomination". ;-)

ionCube doesn´t have anything to do with this. I´m not sure why are you saying this.

I don´t agree with this. Remember that we offering you very advance products and life times upgrades without extra charges. Also, we offer discounts when you purchase extra licenses or packs.

We had to rewrite and test the code of all our extensions in order to release versions compatible with J! 1.5. As you might know our extensions are so advanced that rewriting the code was not a simple task.

ionCube installation will take only two minutes to your hosting provider. However, if you prefer, we can do it for you. Just sumit a support ticket and we will help you with this.

Most of the hosting providers have ionCube already installed by default because this is a very used application.
