i understand that digistore requires the customer to be signed in to make a purchase, but when they are not, and have added items to their cart, and press the checkout button, there is an error dialog that pops up:

Unable to retrieve session data.

This is confusing to customers or potential customers that could be reminded to login and/or register at this point.

The questions I have are:

1. Is this going to be a feature in the future - because there is not a shopping cart I have ever seen that just produces an obscure error like this. They just ask the customer to login or register...and then are allowed to continue to check out...

2. Is there anyone who has developed a solution for this problem?

3. Is there someone I could pay to develop a solution for us. All it would really be is a popup saying "please login or register to continue" instead of "unable to retrieve session data"

It looks like a bug. Actually if you click on checkout you will see this: "Register or login to checkout".
