I purchased iJoomla NP back in June, thinking I would use it on a local news site, but we decided not to because the site already had so much content and we didn't want to risk anything.

Now we've started a state-wide news site and installed NP, but we can't access the back end because we get an ioncube error message, which we think is due to the fact that we registered NP for one domain (which it was never installed on) and are now using it for a different one.

I made a ticket on this, but haven't heard anything.  We are anxious to get things going. NP looks pretty good so far, but we can't configure anything.  Please help.

Thanks!

Hi,
Remember that iJoomla News Portal doesn´t modify your J! tables. So, you can install or uninstall this extension without losing any of your content.

Here you have two issues:
1.Your server doesn´t have ioncube installed. You can ask your hosting support in order to install ioncube on your account or if you prefer, we can try to install it for you. Just submit a support ticket and we will help you with this.
2.In order to change the domain assigned to your license, you need to fill this form: http://www.ijoomla.com/index.php?option=com_surveys&Itemid=671&act=view_survey&survey=I%20need%20to%20change%20my%20domain.

Incorrect.  My server DOES have IONCUBE installed.  I would have hoped that filling out the ticket would have sufficed, since I gave you both domain urls there.  I will follow your link and repeat the info.

After following your instructions, I found that you had already changed the domain name in my license.  Thank you.

But I still have the same problem.  Do I have to download NP and start all over again?  If not (and hopefully, not) what steps do I take now?

Thank you for the prompt domain name on my license.  I uninstalled the news portal component as directed and installed the new download.  However, I still have the same problem - same IONCUBE error message.

My hosting server - hostgator.com, tells me they have IONCUBE installed on all servers.

Issue resolved - thanks to excellent support from both iJoomla and Hostgator (where the final issue was resolved).
