I deinstall now this buggy-addon and a wonder: My site are ten times faster than before.

Want to sell this addon.

Ricardo,

Any chance of a hint as to how soon?  I think that News Portal is a bit query heavy in the current version, and I am hoping to see some optimization in the next.  For example, my homepage currently has about 130 queries on it.  The homepage is the News Portal homepage, and based on the debug info, about half of those queries are coming from News Portal.  This seems like a lot to generate 13 links to content.  I know there is a lot going on, but I see lots of repeated queries, so I am just wondering if performance is something that is being worked on for the next version.

Thanks,
Bryan

Same with use. We had to take off Joomlanews because it's not userfriendly for hightraffic sites! With Joomlanews we had 185 queries, way to much! With our traffic the DB went down :-(

Most commentssripts also causing this kind of problems!

I was getting 2,000 hits a day using it with no problems.  The only problems came from someone using the commenting system that I installed to hack my site and I had to create everything from scratch again.  Needless to say I am still working on it.

Ok, so I am going to be annoying and try to dig further here.  The reason is because we are about 4 weeks from site launch using the current News Portal version, and I am trying to figure out if the new version is going to make it out in time (plus time for me to test, etc.)

Thanks,
Bryan

Have a big newssite.

With ijoomla News visitors must wait over 20 seconds to see something of our site. Without this tool visitors can see our site after 1-2 seconds.

The site hosted on an own server.

We deactivate the magazine and news addon and wait for a better speedy-time ;-)
