I have the check-box checked, the bios created and saved, but the Mini-Profile (author) does not show up at the bottom of the article when you click the - READ MORE - and the whole article is there. it just isn't anywhere to be found.

Any ideas?

When I click the link in the Author List I get the big profile, but nothing in the article.

  I should have mentioned that, sorry. I do have the "Show Mini Profile ..." set to {yes}. The problem still persists.

When I go into edit the author some strange things happen, and perhaps it's all related. My username gets reverted back to a username I changed weeks ago, and my editor gets reset to -select editor- ... it's almost as if it isn't storing the settings.
