When i try and access the section part of the portal, the load time is unbearable

Here is a test, most pages loads within 1-3 sec, but the portal is taking 14-18 sec.

http://www.ichoson.com/component/option,com_news_portal/task,section/id,5/Itemid,10651/

Can i do anything to decrease the load time??

Post a support ticket and we'll try to figure out the problem. Smiley

Do I have to re-register?

I had the same issue about 8 months ago. I have tried on both FF and IE.

Cleared cache and cookies, and still won't let me login.

There seem to be a bug on this software kayako, that we can't really figure out. Can you try from a different computer?

Hello,

www.ichoson.com is hosted in a share server. Please visit my site:

http://perweb.tv

You can see videos in "real time".

I recommend you to rent a dedicated server.

Your Site is nice and loads very fast.   Grin

I am currently on a semi-dedicated server, http://www.buyhttp.com/semi_dedicated_hosting.html

maybe it is a shared hosting. Not sure..

But most of all my other pages works fine, except when accessing the ijoomla sections.

-----

Tech got back to me and said that they needed to optimize the codes but had no ETA.  Cry

If I can get my page to load that fast, I should switch.. where did you get service?

Hello dionysus,

Your site is OK. I think you have installed some Joomla modules or mambots inappropiated. I would recommend you to re-install Joomla but must be carefully making a MySQL database and a config.php backup

To see where and how is hosted a site visit this link:
http://news.netcraft.com/

At the box on th upper left type:
www.ichoson.com

You will find the block belongs to:
Liquid Web, Inc.
http://www.liquidweb.com/

Your virtual server is not the same like a dedicated server. But I think is working OK.

The reason I have dedicated servers is due to I have a lot of visitors and that helps to sell my antivirus software:
http://www.perantivirus.com

Please do not hesitate to make your questions in this forum. There a lot of good people willing to help.

Regards from Peru

Thanks Jorge,

I did some test on the server, and It actually performs alot better then the Industry standard. I actually moved ijoomla portal from the frontpage, because of the slow load time, and my queries dropped from over 300 to less than 90.

I have never done a re-install of joomla, so that would be very scary for me to do. Huh
