I have a question that may be more sakic.net (sef advanced) related than newsportal but I am hoping that the friendly people at iJoomla (or the users) has some experience with it.

How can I remove the /news_portal/ in the url?

sample:

http://www.softwareviews.com/news_portal/Articles/index.html

and looking at my newly created url i notice that even though I have lowercase ONLY set, there is still a big A in there (getting off topic)...

Any thoughts or ideas on how I can remove the news_portal would be appreciated.

Thanks,

--Tone

ps: I like the newly updated look of iJoomla... way to go guys!

The response I got from sef advanced, if I understand it correctly, puts the blame on iJoomla...

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Hello,

I'm a SEF Advance user too. This is probably the better SEF componnet for joomla. I'm very interested by a solution too.
Thanks Merav to look at a perfect interaction between iJoomla News Portal and SEF Advance.

Hi,
I will look over this problem to see what can be done. The link to newsportal from path can't be removed, because in path must be the name of component so Joomla know what to load (is the same for any other Joomla component), you can rename very easy from SEF Advanced admin:
Custom component strings
components with SEF extension:

I am looking over lower case problem and I will come back to you, you can also post a ticket on support with website details, it will help me.

Alin did a great job fixing it for me!

I (would) hope that it will be released in an official release.

It works great - check it out at www.softwareviews.com
