Since I added Ijoomla news portal, my site search engine seems to be a problem, it lets you search but then each of the links simply end up on the main page?

I have a similar issue when clicking the headlines or read more tag, which simply returns a reader to the front page.

Any ideas?

Hi NNL,
I thing that is a setting problem with your SEF extension
I see these URL:
http://netnewsledger.com/joomla/latest/canadian-views-on-afghanistan.html
http://netnewsledger.com/joomla/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2463&Itemid=64
http://netnewsledger.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2463&Itemid=64
The rest of your web site does not have sef. Ex: http://netnewsledger.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogsection&id=14&Itemid=63
Please check your SEF setting.
Best regards!

Thanks,

That seemed to work.

I am sitting here in the great white north, sipping some La Virginia Caf'e Tostado from Argentina.

Great stuff.

A primitive question: I understand that there is section and categories but what is this blogsection, which i see in the above url, please let me know

What I am trying to achieve is under my section all the articles should be listed. i don't want to go an extra route of click the category under a section and then see individual articles

Hi psarora,
Blogsection is a way that Joomla! has to show contents.
If you need an application to make an archive I suggest you to use iJoomla Search And Archive.
If you have any doubts let me know.

Hello,

what i am basically looking is to do something like this
http://news4.ijoomlademo.com/index.php?option=com_news_portal&task=section&id=4&Itemid=2998

In the above link all the news of the section:health & science and category:health and science are displayed.

In the default implementation whenever a user goes to a section, all the categories within that section are display. Do i have to play with the layout of my section in order to achieve something like the above demo link

i hope i am clear with my doubt here

thanks

Hi psarora,
You only need to go to "Manager Content" and there you can set which categories you want to display for each section.
Let me know if you have any doubts.
Best regards,
